Visual Art Rules in BISD!

Brownsville ISD student artists won 21 Exemplary Rating IV medals and five Distinguished Gold Seal medallions at the State Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) held on Saturday, April 5 in Bryan, Texas. Cristina Garza from Veterans Memorial High School won a $300 State VASE scholarship for her self-portrait in the chalk workshop. Twenty-five BISD students participated in the event attending art workshops and viewing the state art exhibit consisting of over 1,700 creations. Congratulations to our young district’s artists!
