Choirs Earn Sweepstakes

Brownsville ISD high school choirs had a banner year at the Region 28 UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest. A total of 17 BISD choirs participated and 10 were awarded the highest Sweepstakes title by earning a Superior rating in both concert and sightreading. Six choirs earned a Superior rating in concert and will receive plaques. Due to a conflict with the State HOSA state competition, five varsity choirs from Hanna and Veterans Memorial High Schools will compete in the upcoming concert and sightreading contest at the Region 15 Concert next week.
