Choirs Are Tops Again

It has become a tradition! Brownsville ISD high school choir students once again dominated the Region 28 Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) District Auditions by earning 93 chairs in the district choir on Saturday, September 27. This number is 20% higher than last year. In addition, BISD students earned four 1st chair positions and six alternate chairs. Hundreds of mid and lower Rio Grande Valley choir students competed at Rivera High School. The students who earned chairs will perform in the TMEA Region 28 District Choir on Saturday, November 15 in the Harlingen Performing Arts Center.
