BISD Bands Students Dominate Region

BISD high school band students, competing against 183 of the top regional players, earned 15 of the 27 available chairs in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region 28 Orchestra auditions held on Tuesday, October 28 at Harlingen High School. BISD students also earned 7 of the 11 available first chairs. Twelve BISD students will advance to the TMEA Area audition to compete for chairs in the All-State Orchestra. The All-Region Orchestra will perform on Saturday, November 22 at the Harlingen CISD Performing Arts Center. Congratulations to our outstanding high school musicians and their directors.
