Spotlight on Trio of OAP Schools

Three BISD high schools qualified to advance to district competition at the One Act Play (OAP) Zone competition held at Hanna High School on March 20-21. Congratulations to the theatre troupes from Hanna, Lopez, and Veterans Memorial High Schools. Both Pace and Porter High Schools were also named as alternates in the competition. Samantha Caso from Lopez and Bianca Gallardo from Hanna were named Best Actresses. Otoniel Rivas from Veterans Memorial earned Best Actor recognition. The OAP 32-5A Competition will be held on Wednesday, March 27. District 32-5A Competition will take place on March 27th at Hanna HS starting at 1:00pm. Campuses will compete as follows: 1:00pm - Hanna HS performing "All My Sons" 2:00pm - Lopez HS performing "Boys Next Door" 3:00pm - Veterans HS performing "Gint" 4:00pm - Harlingen South performing "Flowers for Algernon"
