Garza Selected Coach of the Year

Brownsville, Tx.) – After leading his team to the Region IV-5A Tournament this past weekend, Brownsville Porter Head Coach Luis Garza was selected as the Coach of the Year for the All-South High School Sports Magazine Team. “This feels gratifying and I am very happy hearing this news,” said Garza. “All of the hard work year in and year out has finally paid off.” The Cowboys made school history as they went to the Class 5A Regional Tournament after defeating State Ranked McAllen Rowe 67-51 in the Regional Quarterfinals.
