Chess Success

Brownsville ISD teams competed at the SuperNationals Chess Championships held at the Gaylord Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee on April 4-7. The competition was fierce. BISD teams competed with teams from across the United States. Sharp Elementary School’s chess team ultimately earned 6th place in the K-1 Division. Teams from Hudson Elementary, Vela Middle School, Veterans Memorial High School, and Hanna High School also earned top places in their divisions.
