Two Schools Welcome Famous Author

Kim Purcell, a noted novelist, journalist, and teacher, will visit two BISD secondary campuses libraries to talk to students on Thursday, January 17. At 10 am, Veterans Memorial High School will host Purcell and at 1 pm, the Manzano Middle School library will welcome her. Born and raised in British Columbia, Purcell has also lived in Guadalajara, Seoul, Los Angeles and New York City. She became the Curriculum Director of WriteGirl, and trained professional writers to lead creative writing workshops for girls and their mentors. Learn more about Kim Purcell and her visit to BISD.
