Ortiz Earns 2012 H-E-B Grant

Ortiz Elementary School is one of 12 statewide recipients of an H-E-B “Healthy Campus” grant which carries an award of $15,000. The three-year grant will be used to enhance existing health and fitness programs at Ortiz or to add new ones. Last school year, Ortiz earned an H-E-B “Fit Campus” award for $10,000 that was used to educate children, parents, and staff about nutrition and fitness. Congratulations to the Ortiz Cougars!
